In Frank Reade, Jr.'s Search for the Silver Whale, Frank has invented the “Dolphin,” an electric submarine. They embark on a thrilling quest to find a rare, giant silver whale, which is actually a shark. Albert Tucker was first mate on a sailing ship that had gone off course. The captain decided to launch a boat to kill some seals, since their provisions were running low. The silver whale attacked the boat, eating Tucker in the process. Tucker was carrying a confession to murder in a metal box that would clear his brother who was wrongfully charged with murder. Frank and friends intend to capture the whale and retrieve the box. Of course, they meet with numerous challenges and adventures before it can be revealed whether their search was successful.

Harry Cohen wrote the Frank Reade, Sr. series as "Noname." Cohen also wrote as Harry Enton. In 1879, Luis Senarens took over the series and the pen name; he was only sixteen. Senarens began his first Frank Reade book by shoving Frank into middle-age, retiring him, and announcing that his son had taken over as an inventor. Senarens is said to have written under twenty-six names besides "Noname," but almost never as himself.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

The Americanist community played a vital role in the Cold War, as well as in large part directing the cultural consumption of Soviet society and shaping perceptions of the US. To shed light onto this important, yet under-studied, academic community, Sergei Zhuk here explores the personal histories of prominent Soviet Americanists, considering the myriad cultural influences - from John Wayne's bravado in the film Stagecoach to Miles Davis - that shaped their identities, careers and academic interests. Zhuk's compelling account draws on a wide range of understudied archival documents, periodicals, letters and diaries as well as more than 100 exclusive interviews with prominent Americanists to take the reader from the post-war origins of American studies, via the extremes of the Cold War, thaw and perestroika, to Putin's Russia. Soviet Americana is a comprehensive insight into shifting attitudes towards the US throughout the twentieth century and an essential resource for all Soviet and Cold War historians.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

What is the Gothic? Few literary genres have attracted so much praise and critical disdain simultaneously.
Originally published in Danish in 1910, Kzradock the Onion Man and the Spring-Fresh Methuselah is a fevered pulp novel that reads like nothing else of its time: an anomaly within the tradition of the Danish novel, and one that makes for a startlingly modern read to this day. Combining elements of the serial film, detective story and gothic horror novel, Kzradock is a surreal foray into psychoanalytic mysticism.

Opening in a Parisian insane asylum where Dr. Renard de Montpensier is conducting hypnotic s?ances with the titular Onion Man, the novel escalates quickly with the introduction of battling detectives, murders and a puma in a hallucinating movie theater before shifting to the chalk cliffs of Brighton. It is there that the narrator must confront a ghost child, a scalped detective, a skeleton, a deaf-mute dog and a manipulative tapeworm in order to properly confront his own sanity and learn the spiritual lesson of the human onion.

When Gershom Scholem read the novel in its 1912 German translation on the recommendation of Walter Benjamin, he concluded: “This is a great book, and it speaks a formidable language … This book lays out the metaphysics of doubt.”
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

“Your souls work well together. Almost like you two have been searching across the expanse of time, reaching out for one another, until you finally collided. Soulmates. Old flames separated through time only to be reunited in a dark dungeon.”

Bella
I searched inside myself thinking of everyone in my past and how they had treated me. How I had been na?ve and fallen fast for a lot of assholes, and John wasn’t that. John had everything I loved about a man wrapped into something good. Wholesome, yet knew when to strike like a snake lying in wait. He was obedient, yet a brat. He was handsome and confident within his masculinity because he wasn’t afraid to show when he had some emotion. He told me like it was. Let his emotions flow through him and into me. He was honest, kind, caring, and loving. He listened and trusted me. He didn’t judge me and I didn’t judge him. He was comfortable. Home. Safe.
The moment I had seen him, I was hooked. He didn’t even need to open his mouth, but it only helped when he did. I fell deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole until I slammed down into a galaxy of stars where the only other soul was John.
John was different. This was different. Aubrey had been right.

John
I sank onto the uncomfortable couch in mom’s hospital room and plunged my fingers into my hair, reading over her text over and over until my vision got blurry from the tears building up. I was doing alright. I was a good son and man. I was strong and badass for essentially working two jobs. I was doing the best I could. Mom knew I loved her no matter what. I did the right thing.
God, leave it to Bella to look at the positive in a stressful situation. She had that talent, and I think it was slowly rubbing off on me for the better. I needed to look at the light more than the dark. If only I was better at it, but I’d get there.
Bella would help me get there. I mean, fuck, she already was. Everyone needed a Bella in their life, and I was lucky to have her.

Trigger Warning: Aside from BDSM, you will find Alzheimer’s, mentions of infertility, and dealing with the emotions of losing a parent. Among all of this, there has to be light. So, you will also get, cuddles, kisses, romantic gestures, dates, wholesome moments, silly moments, and a few laughs along the way.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。
